Two weeks to go

Planning ahead

Planning a trip is the best and worst of things to do. It's fun to prepare an itinerary, book hotels, figure out transportation and anticipate and imagine all the fun this travel will bring.

But as you get closer to your departure date, it's easy to start anticipating all the pitfalls, especially if you're an OCD person like myself. Did you bring all your chargers? Do you have enough data for your phone? Did you book the hotels on the right dates? it's time to start calming down and head back to the basics. Make lists. Check off "to do's". Take breaks from the planning.

Having said that, I am now almost done with my booking and itinerary. I still need a place to stay in Hamburg for two nights, but that shouldn't be too much of a problem. Most of my trains are booked. I have a rental car for four days while I'm staying in Ostbevern, and everything is good!
